Principal Consultant - Adele Gaylard

Adele is a skilled and passionate learning and development consultant with over 20 years experience in the instructional design and facilitation of quality training and development programs, covering a broad range of topics for clients in a variety of industries, from higher education to manufacturing.

An experienced and dynamic facilitator, Adele is adept at putting participants at ease and injecting fun and energy into the training room to create an environment conducive for learning. She also has considerable experience in instructional design, and is passionate about designing training programs and materials that engage participants and encourage transfer of learning back to the workplace.

Adele started her career in human resource management, before specialising in training and development. She now draws on her human resource management experience to design and deliver training to support all stages of the HR life cycle from staff recruitment, selection, induction, performance management and career development, through to employee engagement and retention.

Drawing on her extensive studies in psychology, Adele also frequently facilitates workshops in ‘soft’ skills, including a range of communication skills vital for effective performance in the workplace, as well as fundamental work skills such as goal setting and time management.

In addition, Adele continues to provide HR consulting services, and is particularly interested in assisting small businesses (who often don’t have their own internal HR staff) to develop and implement best practice recruitment and selection, induction and training, and performance management and development processes to support their strategic, operational and growth objectives.

With a Masters degree in organisational psychology, Adele is able to draw on insight into the dynamics of behaviour in the workplace to produce positive outcomes in people and organisational development. Adele has also completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, as well as additional training in innovative training methods, instructional design and advanced facilitation skills. She has a sound knowledge of adult learning principles and learning styles, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Training & Development, as well as the Institute for Learning Practitioners.
